
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Aberdeen Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 12:09 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a house fire in a one-and-a-half storey home in the 600 block of Aberdeen Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke and flames coming from the home. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 12:25 a.m.
Crews searched the home and confirmed there was no one inside. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are currently available.
Residential Parking Ban lifted

Winnipeg, MB – The Residential Parking Ban has been lifted; the City of Winnipeg thanks all Winnipeggers for their patience and cooperation.
Residents are reminded that the Annual Snow Route Parking Ban remains in effect daily from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. until March 1.
If some streets have been missed or only partially cleared, crews will return in the coming days to address outstanding snow clearing requirements. Watch for temporary no parking signs that may be placed on your street. Vehicles parked in violation of temporary no parking signs may be ticketed and towed.
