Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Alfred Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 1:17 a.m. on September 30, 2020, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-storey house in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue.

When WFPS arrived on scene, crews encountered heavy smoke coming from the house. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared knocked down at 1:40 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time. The house did have damage from a previous fire earlier this month.
