Our Manitoba offices are looking for a Junior Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper to join the Infinity team and own the following responsibilities:
-Work on bookkeeping and accounting assignments
-Processes financial transactions into accounting software
-Completes bank reconciliations, bookkeeping assignments and other routine account analysis following established procedures.
-Prepares and organizes any relevant working papers/documentation for standard bookkeeping engagements.
-Prepares GST/HST, PST, and WCB filings
-Preparation of monthly financial statements
-Recording of day to day business transactions, recording of cash receipts and disbursements, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers, reconciliations such as bank account and credit cards, maintain capital asset depreciation and amortization schedules in accounting software
-Provide support to clients on general questions regarding bookkeeping issues while providing technical and project management support to team members for bookkeeping related engagements
-Thorough review of accounting and bookkeeping assignments to ensure quality standards and processes are met
-Effectively communicate with clients, partners and staff face to face as well as through email
and phone conversations

Your experience and education
-Post-secondary education in accounting, finance OR business is considered an asset
-1 year of hands-on, in-depth bookkeeping experience is considered an asset
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel and Word)
-Previous experience with multiple accounting software programs including Microsoft Business Central, QuickBooks Online, or Xero is considered an asset
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and developed oral and written communication skills
-Strong ability to prioritize, delegate and manage conflicting priorities
-Problem solver and high attention to detail
