Assembly Mechanic

Job Summary:

This position is located at the end of the production line. As an Assembly Mechanic you will diagnose and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the assembly process. You will disassemble and assemble parts for finished products to ensure proper fit.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

● Works under the direction of the Assembly Supervisors

● Dis-assemble and re-assemble parts for finished products

● Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly

● Inspect finished products for proper functioning. Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning

● Diagnose problems. Perform adjustments and repairs

● Operate or tend automated assembling equipment. Operate small cranes to transport or position larger parts

● Work with line assemblers to communicate issues found in run-off


● Mechanical education and/or equivalent work experience

● Previous mechanical experience required

● Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems

● Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical systems

● Must be a reliable and dependable worker

● Possess good manual dexterity

● Excellent attention to detail

● Ability to work well as a team member

● Capable of sustained physical effort
