We are currently seeking a dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team who will contribute to overall success of the Construction Site by providing quality work. You will have at least a Level 2 or 3 carpentry apprentice experience. This position will be held on our Construction Site in Winnipeg, MB.
What You Will Do:
-Assist and work along side a journeyman carpenter with tasks related to carpentry
-Operate hand/power tools, and other equipment relevant to carpentry
-Capable of performing errands as assigned, carry/deliver materials, tools, and equipment
-Perform proper care and attention of tools and equipment
-Carry out construction activity, such as digging footings, erecting sub-floor structures, wall, and roof framing
-Follow written and verbal instructions in workplace and trade school environments
-Read and interpret various types of construction blueprints
-Other duties assigned by manager
You Will Bring:
-Enrolled in a recognized trade school program, working towards their Journeyman / Red Seal certification
-Good understanding of safety policies, and safe work practices
-Good interpersonal skills when working with sub trades and other team members
-Ability to work effectively in climatic conditions, good manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina
