Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance
License millwright or electrician or System Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician Certification or Building Systems Maintenance Certification considered an asset
Minimal 5 years industrial manufacturing experience
Demonstrated leadership and self-supervision
Able to run the maintenance area “like your own business”
5S and Lean Manufacturing experience an asset
Will to work overtime as required
Demonstrated maintenance and repair skills
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory including, but not limited to, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, eye protection, hard hat, welding mask and respirators
Car required – job is 20 minutes west of the Assiniboia Downs

Responsibilities:
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Clean, lubricate and perform machine maintenance

The Maintenance Technician ensures the operation and maintenance (predictive and preventive) of production equipment and assets, and detect irregularities and malfunctions
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic problems on production equipment, including brake press, laser table, drill press, paint booth sprayers and ventilation systems.
Source replacement and maintenance stock parts as required
Coordinate with contractors and facilities maintenance service providers as required.
Perform normal maintenance routines and, coordinate contractors to repair all lifting equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes and overhead doors.
Responsible for keeping up the weekly/monthly PM schedule
Work with operators to keep equipment clean and organized
Reports to the Operations Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including Microsoft office
Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies and procedures. Also participates in JHSC meeting to improve the safe performance of all equipment
Clean up worksite debris
