Note: All newly hired employees, effective immediately, are expected to complete the Library Training Certificate within five (5) years of date of hire. Each Library Training Certificate course will be reimbursed by fifty percent (50%) upon evidence of completion.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma
- Library training program certificate or experience equivalent considered an asset
- Ability to assist students with a variety of computer applications
- Interest in and knowledge of children’s and young adult literature
- Ability to oversee library computer system and electronic resources
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Ability to relate to the school community and community value base

Northlands Parkway Collegiate is a grade 9-12 high school located in the North end of the City of Winkler. The school has a student population of about 650 students, and a staff of about 100. The school features state of the art architecture, energy efficiencies and many spaces with natural light. It was built to LEED gold standard and received an award from Manitoba Hydro for energy efficiency.
Operating under the auspices of a comprehensive High School Philosophy, Northlands Parkway Collegiate offers students a choice of 5 technical vocational programs (esthetics, hairstyling, electrical technology, pastry arts and culinary arts); a comprehensive list of elective courses; and many extra-curricular programs.
Salary and Benefits:
The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Garden Valley School Division and the Christian Labour Association of Canada / Construction Workers’ Union (CLAC) Local 152 for Library Technicians. Salary range effective July 1, 2018: $15.65 – $22.62 per hour – depending on qualifications and experience.
