We value our team and work hard each day to grow our company. This job opportunity is for the position of Logistics Manager. As Logistics Manager, your responsibility is to daily co-ordinate inbound and outbound freight. With the mandate of ensuring timely and safe shipment of goods to Norstar from our suppliers and from Norstar to our customers. The Logistics Manager would work closely with our Production Manager, Production Planner, Purchasing Manager, and Shipping Team. Summary of Duties/Responsibilities 1. Co-ordinate outgoing product shipments with our associated shipping companies to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
2. Co-ordinate all outgoing shipments according to scheduled due dates with the input of our Production Manager and Production Planner.
3. Co-ordinate pickups and incoming shipments from suppliers with our in-house driver as well as our associated shipping companies.
4. Co-ordinate pickups and incoming shipments with the input of our Purchasing Manager and Production Manager.
5. Maintain and further develop strong relationships with our associated shipping companies.
6. Further develop our network of shipping companies with the goal of improving service and minimizing cost.
7. Manage all freight expenses and income to maintain a viable operation. Key Competencies 1. Strong verbal communication skills
