Job Type: # Payroll & Benefits Specialist (12-month term) – Winnipeg, MB PGF is currently seeking a highly dependable, detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Payroll & Benefits Specialist on a 12-month term at Head Office in Winnipeg, MB. Providing assistance for multiple financial activities relating to the company’s bi-weekly payroll function, the successful candidate will timely and accurately enter/report payroll data for the company employees. The role administers all employee benefit and retirement programs, processes and manages all benefit premium remittances, and all remittances to the Canada Revenue Agency and the Workers Compensation Board. This position is ideally suited for individuals who maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality and integrity, are well organized, and can perform at a high level while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Process the organization’s payroll accurately and in a timely manner (bi-weekly);
• Enroll new hires in benefit programs (optional & mandatory), set up employee deductions to collect premiums accordingly and remove terminated/retired employees as required;
• Manage all benefit payments for employees on various types of leaves;
• Handle the day-to-day administration of the Group RRSP program;
• Ensure all on-boarding and new hire paperwork is complete; provide an overview of the company benefit programs to new employees;
• Process the annual incentive plan payments as directed;
• Provide annual & ad-hoc compensation reporting to HR Director and Management as needed;
• Process all garnishment and maintenance enforcement orders in accordance with the law;
• Maintain all employee personnel files; support the HR team and other duties as requested. Qualifications: • Minimum 2-3 years of directly related Payroll experience;
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is considered a strong asset;
• Proficient computer skills with various program experience – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook;
• Experience working with Payworks Payroll system considered an asset;
• Outstanding communication skills, commitment to confidentiality and ability to take initiative. Benefits:
