Sessional Instructors – University College Positions

POSITION OVERVIEW

Providence University College invites applications for one of several part-time positions as a Sessional Instructor, beginning July 2022 in Winnipeg and September 2022 in Winnipeg and Otterburne. These positions are open for individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

July 2022 in Winnipeg
• English Composition
• Computer Usage
• Christian Spirituality
• Vector Geometry and Linear Algebra

September 2022 in Winnipeg
• English Composition
• Computer Usage
• Christian Spirituality
• Vector Geometry and Linear Algebra
• Business Communication
• Microeconomics

September 2022 in Otterburne
• Business
• Communications and Media
• History
• Philosophy
• Science (Anatomy/Physiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry)
• Sociology
• TESOL

Courses in Winnipeg are offered in intensive eight-week terms and are repeated throughout the calendar year (July – August, September – October, November – December, January – February, etc.). Instructors can apply to teach one term or multiple terms.

Courses in Otterburne are offered in four-month semesters (September to December; January to April). Instructors can apply to teach one or both semesters.

These courses will be offered in-person (face-to-face), depending on the COVID-19 restrictions in place at that time. An ideal candidate will have a Master’s or PhD in a related field (or equivalent professional training and experience), experience leading in the classroom and/or laboratory, passion for student mentorship, and demonstrable independence and organizational skills.
