Job Title: General supervisor-building construction (NOC 7204)
Work location: 255 Creekside road, Winnipeg, MB

Hours of work: 35 hrs per week
Salary: $32/hr

Job Requirements
Language: English
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate
Experience: 1-2 years of related work experience required.
Main duties/Specific skills:
• Supervise construction workers and projects
• Co-ordinate and schedule activities of sub-contractors and workers
• Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other subcontractors
• Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Recommend personnel actions
• Prepare work progress reports
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Read blue prints and drawings
Additional skills:
• Address sub-contractors complaints or concerns and provide professionalism in customer service; Prepare production and other reports; Estimate costs and materials; Recruit or hire workers and carry out related staffing
Ability to supervise: 11-15 people
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles
Transportation/Travel information: Valid driver’s license, own vehicle
Work site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy
