Turnover and Commissioning Supervisor

As the Turnover & Commissioning Supervisor you will be responsible for directing the Regional Turnover and Commissioning teams during the commissioning and turnover phases of our new apartment buildings. These phases allow our construction side, Seymour Pacific Developments, to turn over the sites to our operations side, Broadstreet Properties, for occupancy. The role will be based in our Manitoba Regional Office and works closely with Head Office staff and third-party trades to resolve risks and issues through effective communication and problem solving.

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope
  • Overseeing requests for information, issues, subcontractor change orders, back charges, schedules
  • Resolving any problems or inconsistencies which occur throughout the project
  • Attending stakeholder meetings and assisting with determination of project requirements
  • Managing and preparing all project management, communication, and RACI charts
  • Using project scheduling and control tools to monitor course of the project, issues, and overall project health
  • Filing all project documents appropriately (hard and soft copies)
  • Organizing, compiling, and submitting supporting documentation on completion of project

What you need to be successful:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Project Coordination role
  • Previous experience working in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
  • Knowledge in residential construction and inspections
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Experience using construction management software an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sound change management practices
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • PMP certification is an asset
