Sioux Falls opened the scoring when Jabari Henry led off the second inning with a home run down the left field line.

The Goldeyes (6-7) responded with a long ball of their own in their next at bat. Hidekel Gonzalez belted his third home run of the series to left-centre field with Max Murphy on base to make the score 2-1.

That score held until the bottom of the seventh when Andres Noriega hit a three-run shot to left field to give the Canaries a 4-2 advantage.

Winnipeg cut the lead to one in the top of the eighth inning on a single to left field by Deon Stafford Jr. that scored Eric Rivera.

Sioux Falls however put the game out of reach in the bottom of the inning when Kona Quiggle singled to right field to bring home Wyatt Ulrich before Henry hit a three-run home run to right-centre field – his second of the game and fifth of the series – to make the score 8-3 in favour of the Canaries.

The Goldeyes added a run in the top of the ninth inning on an Eric Rivera sacrifice fly to right field that scored Gonzalez.
