Manitoba’s Health Links phone hotline for health questions was temporarily down on Thursday evening.
Service was restored around 9:03 p.m., a spokesperson for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority said in an email.
The phone line that connects Manitobans with registered nurses to answer questions about health, including about COVID-19, experienced “technical difficulties” earlier in the evening that meant callers couldn’t connect, the Misericordia Health Centre wrote in a post on Twitter.
The health centre, which houses Manitoba’s Provincial Health Contact Centre, including Health Links, didn’t specify in its statement when the outage started, but it was posted shortly after 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
Manitobans can use the phone line for free for answers to health questions, or to get connected to resources in their area.
