WINNIPEG — Manitoba is set to announce a bilateral childcare funding agreement with the federal government.
Manitoba Minister of Families Rochelle Squires will be joined by Federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Ahmed Hussen at 10 a.m. from the Portage Avenue YMCA-YWCA for the announcement. Kent Paterson, YMCA-YWCA president and CEO will also attend.

In its last budget, the Trudeau government committed to a $30 billion, coast-to-coast, $10-a-day childcare program and has entered into agreements with several provinces to implement the program.
Most recently, the federal government signedan agreement with Quebec on Thursday, providing $6 billion over five years.
